A fabulous new live music night to bring more “oestrogen-fuelled rock and metal” bands to Hastings! The Coven Club is the unruly love child of vocalist Amanda “Mandie B” Brooks-Byron and bassist Steph Bennion of prog/goth-rock band Ditch the Demon, who will be running these new nights at the Carlisle Rock Bar.
Mandie: “The Coven Club will open another door for people to come and enjoy themselves and listen to unadulterated, female-captained, purely original, live rock ’n’ roll.”
Steph: “We’ve met lots of lovely people on our gigs, women doing their own thing in rock and heavy metal. We want to bring new voices to Hastings, something a bit different.”
‘The Coven Club’ is a homage to Jinx Dawson and her band Coven, Mandie’s inspiration for forming Ditch the Demon back in 2019. We’re looking for:
The Coven Club runs two or three times a year at The Carlisle. Advance tickets (£5) are on sale from The Carlisle, online at Skiddle and will also be available on the door.
